The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System 1: Ren Zha Fanpai Zijiu Xitong (Novel)

It's more 4½ stars that 5. Her writing is still great, even though in comparison to her Grandmaster Of Demonic Cultivation and Heaven Official's Blessing it's quite different, as it combines both the 21st century (due to the Shen Yuan) and the old Chinese setting. It's quite refreshing, after having read her other novels. I like it. It's funny, it's -as always- not too complicated while being a complex story and overall well written. The reason I would give it 4½ stars instead of 5 is simply that the chapters a really long. 5 chapters with almost 300 pages of story is exhausting, so I struggled with that, however that gets better with the second volume. Am excited to read the second volume!

Das Buch hat mir sehr gut gefallen, ich mocht bereits Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation und Heaven Officials Blessing, beides von derselben Autorin und habe mich aufgrund dessen entschlossen auch SVSSS zu lesen und wurde mal wieder positiv Überrascht. Ich habe die zwei ersten Bücher der Reihe an insgesamt 3 Tagen gelesen und sofort den 3. Teil bestellt.

Ich habe das Buch in einem Gang durchgelesen, weil es einfach so amüsant ist. Der Stil ist erfrischend und die Handlung sehr interessant. Die Autorin ist sehr humorvoll und schafft es den Leser schnell in den Bann zu ziehen. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert!

The Scum Villain’s Self-Saving Sytsem is the first work by the beloved chinese danmei author Mo Xiang Tong Xiu. Lou Binghe is a half-demon and the beloved protagonist of a trashy webnovel series called “Proud Immortal Demon Way”. The young Shen Yuan is the webnovels biggest hater and even while he takes his last breath on earth he can’t stop complaining about the writing and the characters. Too bad that he gets reborn into the world of “Proud Immortal Demon Way”, not as the powerful, beloved protagonist but as Shen Qingqiu, the most hated scum villain who will die a gruesome death. His only goal now is to get into Luo Binghe’s good graces before the protagonist decides to kill him off. With the absurd funny writing and Shen Yuan’s/Shen Quingqiu’s immense amount of sarcasm, is this danmei quite different compared to other novels from MXTX but nonetheless still a masterpiece. Despite having a humorous story there are still dark and tragic parts and the characters are well written and just lovely. The illustration in between the chapters drawn by Xiao Tong Kong are beautiful and make the story seem more lively. A big recommendation for every MXTX fan, danmei fan or BL and Fantasy enjoyer out there, it’s truly worth the read!
