I had already had an interest in the happenings of the Eilean Mor lighthouse and lighthouses in general, so when this part of history appeared in the story I was pleasantly surprised. Pulley managed once again to pair history with a portion of magic and imagination; all paired with a healthy amount of sarcasm which always lifts my mood.

Ich hatte das Glück, eine Vorab-Kopie des Buches vom Verlag zu bekommen, und habe seither 5 für mich und Freunde gekauft, und etliche Bekannte davon überzeugt, es auch zu kaufen - mehr muss ich wohl nicht sagen!
Eine unglaublich raffiniert strukturierte Geschichte, deren Vielschichtigkeit sich mit jedem Lesen weiter offenbart. Wunderschön geschrieben, mit einer berührenden Liebesgeschichte, realen Charakteren vor dem Hintergrund eines alternativen Englands. Absolut brilliant!
