Wyoming at the hinge of an era: the American West of the 1910s, captured in official memory and field notes in print. Voices from Wyoming, 1919 speak. Proceedings And Collections Of The Wyoming Historical And Geological Society For The Year 1919 (Volume XVII) gathers historical society proceedings into a complete archival volume: a regional history collection shaped by scholars, citizens, and investigators of their day. Dip in anywhere and the past feels close, in the plain, purposeful language of lectures, reports, and record-keeping. Within these pages you will find historical and geological essays alongside Wyoming historical documents, the kind of primary material that anchors academic historical reference and rewards the curious browser. Read it for Wyoming local history in the making, for the texture of community record, and for the period sensibility of Wyoming history 1919 as it was being organised, debated, and preserved. As a benchmark of early twentieth-century documentation, it reveals how Wyoming communities turned local evidence into shared narrative. For researchers, it is a dependable tool: names, places, and institutional viewpoints that support genealogy and family research, and context that complements geological survey reports and other state historical society publications. For collectors and lovers of American regional writing, it stands as a snapshot of how a young state narrated itself - what it chose to save, and why. Out of print for decades and now republished by Alpha Editions. Restored for today's and future generations. More than a reprint - a collector's item and a cultural treasure.
