Poems, Devotional and Didactic: From the Poetical Works of Bishop Ken (1835) is a collection of poems written by Thomas Ken, an English bishop and hymn writer who lived from 1637 to 1711. This book includes a selection of Ken's most famous poems, which are both devotional and didactic in nature. The poems are written in a variety of styles and cover a range of topics, including love, faith, and the Christian life. Many of the poems are also hymns that were sung in churches during Ken's lifetime. This book provides readers with a glimpse into the religious and cultural landscape of England during the 17th and 18th centuries. It is a valuable resource for scholars of literature, history, and theology, as well as for anyone interested in exploring the rich tradition of English poetry. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
