The Little Washingtons' Relatives is a children's book written by Lillian Elizabeth Roy and published in 1918. The book tells the story of six young cousins who are related to George Washington, the first President of the United States. The children are spending the summer at their grandparents' home in Virginia, where they learn about their famous ancestor and his life.Throughout the book, the children visit historical sites, including Mount Vernon, the home of George Washington, and learn about his life as a farmer, soldier, and statesman. They also hear stories from their grandparents about their own experiences during the Civil War and learn about the importance of family and history. The book is written in a simple and engaging style, making it accessible to young readers. It also includes illustrations by Charles L. Wrenn, which help to bring the story to life. Overall, The Little Washingtons' Relatives is a charming and educational book that teaches children about American history and the importance of family. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
