Fragments of Philo Judaeus is a collection of writings by the Jewish philosopher Philo, who lived in Alexandria in the first century CE. The book is a compilation of fragments of Philo's works, which were preserved in various sources, including early Christian writers who quoted him. The fragments cover a range of topics, including theology, ethics, and philosophy, and provide insight into the intellectual and cultural milieu of Hellenistic Judaism. Philo's writings reflect his attempts to reconcile Jewish tradition with Greek philosophy, and his work had a significant influence on early Christianity. The book includes an introduction that provides historical and cultural context for Philo's writings, as well as notes and annotations to help readers understand the text. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
