Na, wo sind die Zayne lover? Trinity ist eine sture und sehr schlagfertig Kämpferin. Sie hat ein schweres Los für das Leben gezogen. Trin verliert nie ihren Mut, ihren Witz oder ihre Impulsivität. Dabei ist sie immer pflichtbewusst und loyal. Zayne ist zu Beginn ziemlich abgeklärt, sarkastisch, aber seinen Mut hat er nicht verloren. Aber man merkt den Kontrast zu dem wie er noch bei der Dark Elements Reihe war. Sein Herz ist am rechten Fleck und er ist sehr Leidenschaftlich und gutherzig. Okay an Witz und Spannung hat es bei diesem Buch nicht gefehlt, dass tut es für mich bei JLA Büchern wohl nie. Das Roth und Layla hier auch wieder eingebunden wurden fand ich klasse. Ich vermisse die beiden. Zayne und Trin haben eine schwierige Beziehung. Die Idee alles zu verweben und weiter zu spinnen fand ich großartig. Der Twist am Ende war ja mal richtig cool und an sich gab es auch sehr süße Momente. Also mal wieder ein tolles Buch. Aber so unter uns? Roth und Layla sind immer noch meine Lieblinge.

This charming YA novel tells the story of a young girl whose biggest dream is to make it big on Broadway. Jerzie Jhames has almost made it. She is to be a part of Broadway's next hit hip-hopera "Roman and Jewel". Unfortunately, she's only the understudy to the lead actress, who only got the role because she's already a big name in the music industry. But when a video of Jerzie goes viral and the lead actor seems to take a liking to her, things start to get complicated. Hilarious encounters, cute scenes that'll make you swoon and a lot of drama ensue... I like "Rome and Juliet", love musicals and am a big fan of "Hamilton", so, naturally, I just had to read this book. And I regret nothing. This book is a cute, fun and highly entertaining read that will not only appeal to theatre kids. If you enjoy YA love stories, this definitely is a book you do not want to miss. It features a diverse cast of characters, each and every one of which is great in their own right. The relationships in this novel are amazing, I especially adore the scenes with Jerzie and her family - they are simply hilarious. Of course, not everything is sunshine and rainbows, though. There's quite a bit of drama going on, which is to be expected in a setting like this. It's never unnecessarily over the top, though, but stays fairly plausible and just adds to the entertainment of the reading experience. On top of adoring the novel's storyline and its characters, I'd also love to be able to see "Roman and Jewel" in theatres. I'm not gonna lie, the premise sounds very intriguing, indeed. All in all, this is a charming novel about show business, friendship, love and going after your dreams. I highly recommend this book to teens aged 14 and up.
