As surprising as it is impeccably crafted . a nonstop action extravaganza [and]  an exhilarating read . The artistry in these pages is incredible, from the majesty of Darrow s compositions to the detail of his linework to the atmosphere and texture of Stewart s coloring. --AV CLUB

Any new comic day that blesses with an issue of The Shaolin Cowboy is a good day indeed. Geof Darrow returns with another tale of violence, death, and bizarre humor and the world is better for it. This new series picks up exactly where the last one left off but don t worry, you can jump in right here and enjoy yourself. The Shaolin Cowboy: Who ll Stop the Reign #1 is utter insanity, featuring everything from spirit battles to truck testicles to talking vultures to buckets of blood. --THE NERDIST

Living legend Geof Darrow could publish Shaolin Cowboy without a single line of dialogue and it would still be required reading. The master artist s hyper-detailed style and obsessive imagination is unmatched among modern comic artists, channeling his mentor, Moebius, and a scatological humor all his own to pack every panel full of visual gags and triumphs of linework. It s rare to be able to say this without hyperbole, but no one no one does what Darrow does, and every new release from him is an event unto itself. --PASTE MAGAZINE

It s hard not to fall in love with Darrow s unique and instantly recognisable drawings. Highly detailed and filled with a cornucopia of insane creatures and wild concepts, the pages are buzzing with energy as chaotic scenes fill every nook and cranny .  Intense, wild and absurd, this issue is the beginning of something I m excited to see unfold. Do yourself a favour and grab a copy ASAP, even if it s just to see Darrow s epic and amazing art. It really is something special. -- IMPULSE GAMER
