In addition to his academic work, he has been a pastor and church planter for over thirty years, having planted churches in England, California, and Pennsylvania.

James M. Hamilton Jr. (PhD, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary) is professor of biblical theology at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and preaching pastor at Kenwood Baptist Church.

Jay Sklar (PhD, University of Gloucestershire) is professor of Old Testament at Covenant Theological Seminary. For 25 years, he has been writing and teaching on the Bible's first five books.
