The Story of the One Tree Hill Agitation: With a Short Sketch of the History of Honor Oak Hill is a historical book written by John Nisbet in 1905. The book narrates the story of the One Tree Hill agitation that took place in Honor Oak, a suburb of London, in the late 19th century. The agitation was a result of the proposed development of One Tree Hill, a local landmark, into a residential area. The book provides a detailed account of the events that led to the agitation, the role of the local community in opposing the development, and the eventual victory of the protesters. The book also includes a short sketch of the history of Honor Oak Hill, which was once a rural area but later developed into a residential suburb. The author provides information on the geography, topography, and natural resources of the area, as well as its historical significance. The book is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history of Honor Oak and the One Tree Hill agitation. It is written in a clear and concise style, making it accessible to readers of all ages and backgrounds. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
