Belgium: Her Kings, Kingdom And People is a historical book written by John De Courcy Mac Donnell in 1914. The book provides a comprehensive account of the history of Belgium, from its earliest days to the early 20th century. It covers the reigns of all the Belgian kings, including Leopold I, Leopold II, and Albert I, and their impact on the country's political, social, and economic development. The book also explores the cultural and artistic achievements of Belgium, such as its famous painters, writers, and musicians. Additionally, it delves into the country's religious and linguistic diversity, including the tensions between the French-speaking Walloons and the Dutch-speaking Flemings. The book provides a detailed analysis of Belgium's role in European politics, including its involvement in the two World Wars. Overall, Belgium: Her Kings, Kingdom And People is an informative and engaging read for anyone interested in the history of Belgium and its people. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
