Assassin's Quest (the Illustrated Edition) The Illustrated Edition

I liked the whole trilogy a lot. It made me feel so many emotions, which i love. I felt really connected to Fitz, because we get to see so many of his thoghts, and experience the things that shaped him from the beginning of the series on alongside with him. I am looking forward to reading more of Robin Hobbs work.

A five star book following two five star books. My expectations for this were high, and they were met! I love Fitz finally choosing himself, even if he will ever have the mindset of a kingsman, whether he likes it or not. I don’t even know what to say, my mind still hasn’t caught up. An absolutely incredible book, Robin Hobb is a master of her craft, and I cannot wait to continue further down the path of Realm of the Elderlings.

I don’t think I‘ve ever had a 5 star book followed by a 5 star book in a trilogy before. After Assassin‘s Apprentice, my expectations were high, and they were not only met but exceeded. Kettricken truly is a Queen as they ought to be, and Verity also has quickly become a favorite, and I cannot wait to see him again. What an incredible continuation of Fitz‘s story. Once again those last few chapters set a crown upon an already magnificent story. Truly a worthy second book.

The mainplot unfolds slowly, but for me it worked and the end was definitely worth the wait. Would also make a good TV-Show. Honestly can´t think of anything I disliked about the book. Great read, will definitely read again.
