Stephen Frys Troy hat mir besser gefallen, als Homers Ilias. Ein Grund dafür ist, dass ich in diesem Buch erstmals die ganze Geschichte am Stück lesen konnte. Von der Vorgeschichte des Krieges bis zum Ausgang der 10 Jahre. Der fantastisch witzige Erzählstil nimmt den Grausamkeiten des Krieges die Bitterkeit, so dass es ein tolles Lesevergnügen war trotz des schweren Inhalts. Die Helden auf beiden Seiten haben dadurch an Menschlichkeit gewonnen. Das Buch empfehle ich allen, die britischen Humor lieben und sich für antike Sagen interessieren. Meiner Meinung ist es bereichernder, als die Ilias zu lesen.
