My One Month Marriage

When you have a book with this title, you probably expect a love story about the couple that stayed married for only one month. Instead you get a family story of four very different sisters. Sisters that love each other, but also keep secrets from one another. What those secrets are is revealed to the reader chapter by chapter over the span of one and a half years. The author switches back and forth in time and between the sisters. And, as is also the case with many of Shari Low's other books, this is not a simple chick-lit with superficial problems. Serious but realistic issues are tackled here. I cannot even say which of the sisters I found most interesting, I was curious about every single one of them and how it all plays out in the very end.
