Das Buch liefert eine schöne und runde Vorgeschichte zu den bekanntesten Büchern von KF ab. Der Detailgrad der Beschreibungen ist erneut und in gewohnter Weise sehr hoch, sodass der Leser in die Zeit des 10. Jahrhunderts versetzt wird.
Insgesamt gelingen Überraschungsmomente besser als in Band 5 und bewirken, dass ich als Leser rundum top zufrieden bin.
