I don't know what it is with Morgenstern's writing but it does something to my brain which I really really like. It dips my imagination in every imagined and unimagined color and then throws it into an expanding pallet of light, magic and atmosphere. I love her writing so much and this book is my book. It's like it's been written just for me. It is eternal love for literature and story-telling bound up in one story consisting of thousands. It has a lot of flowery writing but it makes sense and it adds to the story rather than taking away from it. Some books which use flowery writing just end up sounding pretentious and most of the time don't really make a lot of sense. Morgenstern's writing on the other hand creates pure magic and cinematographic sceneries in my head that I feel completely at home in. And a few words about the characters: they were all marvelous especially our beautiful protagonist Zachary Ezra Rawlins. He is now one of my favorite fictional characters of all time. He's intelligent, a passionate reader, a gamer, a Harry Potter nerd, polite, gay, kind, sweet and best friend material - I love him. And Dorian for that matter. This book has my heart.
