As a true crime aficionado, I have come across many books by this author. The ones about Ted Bundy or the Green River Killer, I remember vividly. All her books require in-depth investigative work. In Practice to Deceive, I had the impression she had to dive even deeper. It’s remarkable how well Ann Rule establishes the plot to the point where you nearly forget that it’s a true story. With every tiny bit of information, I was drawn deeper into this shocking tale. Despite the large number of names mentioned, I didn’t get confused keeping them apart; they all played a role and therefore are worth mentioning.
