It was gratifying to note that the level of participation of male and female was quite different in various activities. It has been noticed that the activities like land preparation, irrigation, application of fertilizer and manure etc were exclusively performed by the male members of family while other activities such as intercultural operation and harvesting were female dominated tasks.
