I do see why some people may find Florence too direct but I love the way she describes things and speaks her mind. I really enjoyed the book :) Because of this book, I recognised a lot of shit, happening in this seciety and how it influenced me.

The book is incredible! The autor is openly talking about sexuality, homophobie and sexism. Even if you think that you have nothing of this in you, the autor is showing you the little drops of capitalism you grew up with. Yeah, it doesn't feel nice. I always say that this book is for every woman that wants to take her power back in this world full of men, but also men that realise how the capitalism is getting worse and make us ALL suffer - welcome! The book has SO much amazing througths and ideas, it makes you think about your privilage every day after reading it. Oh yes, privilage! I really liked the fact that the autor realises her own privilage by being a white, non-disable and thin cisgender woman and makes a clear point that even that she's being opressed as a woman, any black or fat woman has it worse than herself. "Woman don't owe you pretty" absolutely changed my way of thinking and I'm really greatful for that. So, if you want to learn more about sexuality, gender and privilage, READ THIS BOOK! P.S. the pictures in the book are amazing!!

Reading this book was just a lot of fun and I love to read it again and again. You learn a lot about yourself and how you can be better.

Gutes feministisches Einstiegswerk, das viele basics umfasst. In lockerem Ton wird verständlich erklärt, wie man das mit dem Frau sein auf möglichst gesunde Art und Weise so hinbekommt, ohne sich unter den teilweise unbewussten Einflüssen unserer Gesellschaft zu verbiegen und krank zu machen. Vor allem junge Frauen sehr zu empfehlen!

Das Must-Have für jede feministische Literatursammlung. Alle Fakten werden knallhart auf den Tisch gelegt. Das Buch öffnet jedem/r die Augen, der/die sich traut, der Wahrheit ins Gesicht zu blicken. P.S. Traut euch!
