after being sceptical reading the first pages, I thoroughly enjoyed the read. And could not put it down in the end. the different characters are all very well outlined, the story is told from various point of views and personal stories are cleverly entwined. Have liked Hannah “the plus one” most of all.

The mystery, the building up of the thrill is all very good. But I found the characters very dull, all millennials in different degrees of success in life, from the aggressive owner lady of the online magazine to the soft couple parents of two young children, all with their so predictable conflicts and still remembering uni days with their aggressive rituals. It was hard to swallow for someone who, being a baby boomer, has read a lot of mysteries and has had enough of this new generation of ‘knowing alls’ who thinks we are dispensable.
