Beneath the World, a Sea

This book is about a place unique in the world, plants are pink/purple, Duendes (sort of fairies) lurk around and play with your thoughts, making you rethink yourself, that’s why locals hate them and kill them. From outside comes the law to reinforce the rights of the Duendes, but to get to this place you have to go through the zone of forgetfulness, the 2 or 3 days spent there will be obliterated from your memory. Ben Robson arrives to investigate the murders, but his mind is not free from this surreal atmosphere. He will meet all sorts of locals, more or less affected by this place. It’s a mind bending experience, will make you think about ethical, moral and emotional beliefs. I enjoyed the ride. Unusual original read.
