And not just the time war but your heart too.

Milli aus Wien am 29.09.2019

Bewertungsnummer: 343610

Bewertet: Buch (Taschenbuch)

The story is told through an exchange of letters between two agents on opposite sides of a war, which is fought through time. With each letter, they are getting closer to each other. But if your expecting a elaborate story of how and why this war is fought, or a thorough world building, where the motivation, different cultures, social constructs and technology of both sides is described, then this book is nothing for you. All that is only mentioned briefly and everything concerning the different times – even the character - is very vague. The story is more driven by the current emotional state and the different experience of both agents and their interaction with each other through the letters than anything else. And those letters captured my attention like rarely a book before. I just couldn’t put it down until I finished it, most and foremost because of the beautiful way it was written.
