Ich liebe Avatar - Der Herr der Elemente. Eine Welt, die nicht nur Kinder begeistert, sondern auch Erwachsene. Und mit Kyoshie's Geschichten haben die Macher auch hier wieder alle Knöpfe richtig gedrückt. Es hat mir viel Spaß gemacht, dieses Buch zu lesen.

Or better said, an older one now tells her story: the wonderful, powerful, legendary Avatar Kyoshi. The Avatar who not only founded the Dai Li in Ba Sing Se and the Kyoshi warriors, but also created a new island to save the people who lived there from a tyrant - no wonder the people called the island "Kyoshi Island" afterwards. But how did a person, who could barely earthbend, master all four elements and accomplish all that. Here is the answer to that! And what an answer it is. I just loved everything about this book - maybe with the exception of the first chapter, but simply because it was not written from Kyoshis perspective - the pacing, the writing, the plot and the characters, especially Kyoshi. If you’re a fan of the Avatar Universe, then this book is a must for you. If you haven't heard anything about it yet, then you should watch the TV-Show first (both Aangs and Korras journey), otherwise it's kinda hard to follow the plot here. The writer clearly assumes that you already know how important the Avatar is and what kinds of bending there are, or what an “Airbison” is. So TV-Show first then this book here, and then - because you'll probably are going to fall in love with this universe - the comics.
