"We're going to be like the Three Musketeers but with five of us and books, not swords!" - Olivia "The Paper & Hearts Society" was one of my absolute bookish highlights throughout my summer holiday. I found it in a bookstore in London and I immediately fell in love with the beautiful cover & the description of the plot, because I could already identify so much with the protagonist Tabby. It is a story about loving books, friendship, love, toxic friendships, bullying, anxiety and living a life being happy and confident in your own skin. I never wanted to be part of a book club / best friends squad so badly. I fell in love with every single member of "the Paper & Hearts Society". Ed: the most funny, loyal and best friend you could ask for. Olivia: a ray of sunshine, who's always enthusiastic, positive and lovely. Cassie: seems to be a bit grumpy, but has a heart of gold and cares about her friends more than anything. Henry: the most caring, intelligent, wonderful and thoughtful boy in the whole wide world (I love him with all my heart!) And last but not least: Tabby: such a strong, brave and amazing person, who only gets stronger and makes an amazing development throughout the book. You HAVE to love this squad & I'm gonna miss them so much now!! I can't wait for a second part and to see what bookish adventures my favorite nerds have to face. To every book lover out there: read this book, fall in love with the characters, the story and share your love for books. Let's all live the best bookish life possible and be proud of it!
