We Met in December

The story is not especially original or creative, but it is just soo sweet and cosy and really really nice to follow Jess and Alex through London. The whole book felt kinda "London-ish", in a good kind of way. My only real complaint is that the ending was way too short. After a year-long build-up, only a few sentences and a short epilogue was definitely a let-down. I also would have liked to get to know more about Jess' work at a publishing house. She doesn't tell a thing about it. From Alex we get at least glimpses of his work, but mostly it's only that he is totally knackered after yet another night-shift. Instead the author really focuses on their relationship with each other, and also with other people. Which is also fine with me. I felt comfortable in their company!
