This book is simply outstanding. I didn't know what to expect from this but I was impressed by how easy the storyline flowed. Hall created with his brilliant imagination and well written characters an amazing book. Fans of Shutter Island and Inception will love this story!

Ein super spannendes Buch, das gleichzeitig humorvoll geschrieben ist. Es ist einfach zu lesen, das Englisch ist nicht schwer. Nur zu empfehlen!

Flynn is in his early twenties and still lives with his mom when his girlfriend breaks up with him. To distract himself and to get inspiration for his current writing project, Flynn starts to work at a local supermarket. Work there is boring and Flynn often gets distracted by his coworker and friend-since-day-one Frank. But as dull as work at the supermarket is, Flynn makes great progress with his book. Nothing is as it seems though and the author Bobby Hall pulls the reader into a fascinating world. I started the story with some suspicions. Nevertheless it was a great read and I can highly recommend it to everyone who likes suspenseful stories with twists and turns at every corner. You never know what will happen on the next page of this book and that makes the story so compelling to read.

Because of the summery on backside of the book I really was curious what to expect. The first part however, was kind of dull. Various characters were introduced, no suspenseful action until the climax at the end. Part 2 was - especially from psychological point of view - very interesting and made you reflect on yourself. The characters revealed themselves in a different light and context. I lived quite some time in US and style of speech is rather identic. Nevertheless, after reading I gave it to a public bookcase.
