I found this book through people recommending it online & am glad I bought it. De Robertis became one of my favourite authors. She writes about South America and (in this case) lesbian/bi women so beautifully and realistically that I am immediately transported into whatever time and situation she writes about. It's so ... atmospheric. The women have their own personalities, go through their own issues, some end up happy, some don't. This is a great book by someone who doesn't just write for representation's sake, but to tell a story, to flesh out queer characters and make them actually just another part of society deserving of equal opportunities and fighting for those while trying to figure out their life. It's one of my favourites, even after months. Thanks!
