Das Buch lockt durch seine Thesen, allerdings werden diese in Buch meist nur anekdotisch beschreiben, wissenschaftliche Studien werden kaum erwähnt. Das Buch schafft es viele Denkanstöße zu geben, allerdings hätte diesen etwas mehr Fundament nicht geschadet. Oft fühlt es sich an als schreibt die Autorin im Kreis, auch wenn einige ihrer Beobachtungen höchst aufschlussreich sind. Dennoch würde ich das Buch jeden empfehlen, der sich mit der Bedeutung des Weißseins in rassistischen Gesellschaften auseinandersetzten will.

Robin Di Angelo zeigt wie ideologisiserte Formen von Wissenschaft funktionieren. Eine Kafka-Falle der besonders perfiden Art ist ihr Konzept der WHITE FRAGILITY. Wer sich verteidigt, der wird angeklagt. Eine Situation wie bei Kafkas Romanfigur K in seinem Roman "der Prozess".
