The author also gives insight into why she began her journey into crime investigation and how it has affected her life. I know the author from listening to a podcast where the book was mentioned, and as an avid true crime listener, I gave it a try. In my opinion, the book is put together like fiction peppered with substantial facts in collaboration with officials involved in the case. It gets you curious, the style is remarkably vivid that you want to get out and support the investigation. In every chapter you feel how much effort the author has put into the story, it gets evident how much she wanted to find the golden state killer. It’s not only an accumulation of words, finding the truth was her obsession and therefore she grasped every possibility to get a little closer. Regrettably, she had died before the perpetrator got arrested. Her work has helped immensely for the case, and the cooperation with the investigators helped both sides. If I could give a star rating, I would give this book 5 stars. A fascinating read is full of facts about investigative work. Crime lovers will enjoy it.
