    Amazing sequel in the World of Faerie

    The second book of the FOTA-Series has left my jaw on the floor! Jude, now in charge of Cardan, is trying to fullfill her royal duties, but betrayal follows her everywhere she goes. The ending had twists and truns I never saw coming. Also, Cardan and Jude are getting closer - but can she really trust him?

    Zweiter Teil, knalliger als zuvor(Spoiler!)

    In diesem Teil geht es eher ruhiger zu als zu vor. Jude hat ihre Ziele erreicht und sorgt nun auch dafür, dass sie dort bleibt. Hier ist auch die romantische Anspannung stärker und mehr im Mittelpunkt, als im ersten. Das Ende hat mich wieder überrascht und es war sogar noch knalliger als im letzten Buch. Ich liebe Holly Black's Schreibstil, sie hat einen sehr leichten, eleganten Stil und es passt einfach zum ganzen Genre des Fantasy(selbst wenn ich die deutsche Fassung lese). Die beiden ersten Bücher machen sich auch gut in meinem Bücherregal.

    Great sequel

    I had more fun with this one. Probably because I really like Cardan. I’m still annoyed with most of the characters, their decisions, reactions and the plot holes but it has good pacing. It was nice to tag along and see what misadventures Jude is getting herself into. It’s a classic book 2 in a trilogy but it keeps the story going and as a reader you want to know what is going to happen next. Still, I feel like this book would have benefited from a second POV. The romantic subplot feels so intense when Cardan is in the scene and then we forget about him for the next 7 chapters. What’s the point then? Get rid of the love story or make room for it.

    way better than the first book

    The story in the second book is way more captivating and thus more enjoyable. Cardan and Jude’s stories take interesting turns and the plot stays unpredictable, leaving the reader with a plot twist and cliffhanger at the end. Looking forward to reading the next book!

    Eine gelungene Fortsetzung der...

    Eine gelungene Fortsetzung der Folk of Air Reihe. Judes Aufstieg in Macht und die Verwicklungen am Hof sind hervorragend. Der Höhepunkt glänzt mit nicht vorhersehbaren Wendungen, die mich das Buch nicht mehr aus der Hand legen ließen. Der dritte Teil muss schnell her!
