This short analysis gives an overview about the main ideas of the classic "The Madwoman in the Attic" as well as it's historical context and impact. It does not really deal with single text passages, instead it points out the main ideas of the authors as well as how the work was received at the time of publication and later on. A good introduction to Gilbert & Gubar's work although some statements seem redundant. The structure of the analysis is very clear and the annex (including a glossary and short bios of the people mentioned in the text) make it easy to understand.
