I admit, I have a weak spot for thieves and assassins. So I bought this book with some expectations and wasn't disappointed. The character development is so sweet and though it's YA, there is a depth and darkness to the world. The pace is well balanced and I loved the action sequences as much as the quiet scenes between Kazi and Jase. Although the story takes place in the same world as "Kiss of Deception", you can read the book without having read said trilogy (I didn't).

Dance of Thieves ist eins der besten Fantasy Bücher, dass ich in der letzten Zeit gelesen habe. Ich konnte es kaum aus der Hand legen, weil ich so gespannt war wie die Geschichte weiter geht. Kazi und Jase sind Hauptcharakter mit viel Tiefe und durch den Perspektivwechsel zwischen den beiden bekommt man Einblicke in ihrer Gefühlswelt, was sie motiviert, ihre Ängste und Träume. Es hat sich für mich genau richtig zwischen Liebesgeschichte und Fantasy bewegt. Alles in allem ein Roman voller Geheimnisse, Intrigen und auch Liebe, den ich jedem empfehlen kann.
