The application of PRF in fields of plastic surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery and implant surgery has demonstrated successful and rapid results in terms of bone regeneration. The field of periodontal therapy has just begun to explore the vast benefits of PRF for management of various types of periodontal defects.
