The Uncommon Reader ist gut geschrieben, unterhaltsam - und natürlich vom Thema her sehr unkonventionell, was das Buch interessant macht. Das Unkonventionelle ist trotzdem gleichzeitig der Grund für den Abzug eines Sterns: die Geschichte ist derart ungewöhnlich, dass sie einfach unmöglich erscheint.
Alles in allem aber unbedingt lesenswert, insbesondere wenn man ein Fan des Vereinigten Königreichs ist.
