Be prepared!

Spoiler alert - They both die at the end... and even tho i was preparing myself for it, it was still heart-wrenching and surprising at once. I just hoped that Rufus and Mateo could grow old together... The writing style and the story itself were still amazing and Silvera has described the characters in great detail that it was easier to develop sympathy for some of them!

I just finished the book and this is the first time I’m writing an online review for a book. I just want everybody too read it too. This story warmed my heart and broke it over and over again. The writing at times is so beautiful and the way the characters develope is absolutely healing for my soul. Though at times I cursed the author for writing such a good book. There was a time I couldn’t pick it up and continue reading as I made my own encounter with death as he took my grandpa and shortly after my snake. I wish I could’ve known it was my grandpa’s last day like the chracters in this book do. It’s such a beautiful, gut wrenching story and I’m still wiping some left I’ve tears after finishing it. Damn you Adam Silvera for writing such a good book. :,)

Death Cast is Calling

Bewertet: Buch (Taschenbuch)

Who would you spend your last day with and what would you want to do? In this YA Novel we follow Rufus and Mateo, who both got the “Death cast” Call that they are going to die within the next 24 Hours. Like the Name suggests, Death cast is a service that knows when you are going to die. Our two main characters meet through the “last friend” App, that connects the Death cast recipients if they are alone on their last day. Together Rufus and Mateo travel through New York and do all the Things that help them to say goodbye to their Loved ones and to the world. Even though they only have a few hors left to live, they slowly start to fall in love with each other. If you Like slow Burners, Heartwarming, Very Queer and Beautifully written Books, then you’ll love this one.
