An elite group of People devoted to kill or ‘glean’ a given number of lives per year so that a healthy number of people living on earth can be maintained. One of such Scythes is the Honorable Scythe Michael Faraday - for all Scythes are named after esteemed and historic figures - who when he chooses them as his apprentices to train under him changes Rowan’s and Citra’s lives forever.
