One of my favorite books to read and get information about Einstein's life and work. "Subtle is the lord" is an elegant way of presenting the most important points of Einstein's work, with a great emphasis given on the papers themselves that follow the line of thought of Einstein. You can really understand in some way the facts that gradually lead Einstein to postulate the Theory of Relativity, both the Special and the General, without some unnecessary personal details that other authors, who are not themselves in Academia, are focusing onto. All in all, "Subtle is the Lord" is a great book to keep track of Einstein's work and life, written by a well-known physicist Abraham Pais, and is surely a great companion for those who want to learn more and deeply understand the Theory of Relativity from the one who founded it.
