Sau ehrlich, wunderbar komisch und super geschrieben. Vor allem als Frau wird einem wieder bewusst, dass alles was wir heute an Freiheiten haben, hart erkämpft ist. Von Frauen wie Viv Albertine und Bands wie den Slits. Ich habe es innerhalb von zwei Tagen verschlungen - unbedingt auf English lesen, denn ich kann mir kaum vorstellen dass die Übersetzung so echt sein kann wie das Original.

'anyone who writes an autobiography is either a tw** or broke. i'm a bit of both.' - an iconic opening line honestly, you don't need to be a fan of punk to appreciate this book. miss albertine writes not only about her involvement in the early UK punk scene, but also her struggles with relationships, trying to become a mother, battling cancer and her search for an identity outside of being just a "wife" and "mother". honest, vulnerable, shocking.
