This novel is beautifully written, Abbott really knows her craft. But the plot and characters... it was overly sexualized when it didn't need to be. The pacing was off, too. The beginning is much too slow and hard to get into, the last quarter/third of the book thankfully picks up speed, though, and is much more compelling.
