Ich habe eine Weile nicht mehr gelesen. Diese Buchreihe hat mich wieder dazu animiert. Hinzu zu dem unglaublich schönem Erlebniss, dass man durch das lesen erhält kommt, dass die Box auf dem Regal einfach Prima aussieht.

The internet is crazy about Cassandra Clare's Shadow Hunter universe. So, I thought I'd give it a try. What can I say. The writing style is easy, a litlle to easy and simplistic for my liking. Worst thing in books for me: when the situation isn't coherent. For example Clary puts on her jacket and on the very next page her hair tickle her bare back. I'll stop my rant at this point, you get the idea, there are multiple situation like this. Even though the genre is considered to be young adult I'd say it's more for middle grade. I might have enjoyed this story in my teenager years but now I've read too many neatly executed books to deal with something like this. I don't know why this series is so hyped. Big parts of the books are just endless descriptions of strange looking demons. It's so odd. The character's interactions seem unnatural. One doesn't know why they lack emotion or were at other parts it suddenly comes from. Since I don't really have to say anything positiv, I'll just leave it there.
