A young boy goes to the city library after school to find out more about the collection of taxes in the Ottoman Empire. The help that he finds there is most possibly not what he expected, but rather strange. This was a quick and easy read, but I feel like it could have also worked well in a longer novel. The characterisation and plot were good... but I didn't feel like I got enough detail to be emotionally invested in it either. After this book I might have learned a life lesson, but I am not quite sure yet what exactly I've learned. Hopefully, my epiphany will come later.
