Jane has seen many crimes as a reporter. But there is a serial killer at large who's deeds are uncompareable gruesome. And maybe she could be his next victim. But still Jane does not agree that she needs protection offered by some firce warrior from a distant future and his sidekick - a speaking wolf. And while Baran tries to convince her, that this killer is some time-travelling Jack the Ripper, he also tries to tell himself that he is not deeply attracted to his charge - and failing miserably. And while they get closer - a lot closer than might be sensible - the killer is also drawing near. And maybe Baran will fail this very important mission - just because the time line has to be kept intact. ** My first try at a romantic futuristic novel. Really not bad. Baran is one hell of a hero, all strong and commanding but with some weak spots, too. The lady is rather independant but she falls for this future macho anyway. The wolf is a very nice touch and the problems about altering the past in a time-travel scenario is solved very logical and true to the rest of the story. All in all, a well written book, worth your time.
