Mit dieser neuen Serie (Blacktop-Cowboys) hat sich Lorelei James mal wieder selbst übertroffen. Auch dieses Buch fesselt von der ersten Seite an! Das Liebesdreieck um Lainie, Kyle und Hank ist wie fast alle Bücher von Ms.James im Rodeo-/Cowboyumfeld angesiedelt. Es sind also Männer in Jeans und Cowboyhüten zu erwarten, sowie eine ins detailgehende Beschreibung aller Beziehungen zwischen den Protagonisten! (Wirklich heiß!) Natürlich wirken manche Sachen "over-the-top", aber Ms. James schafft es wie kaum eine andere des Genres es wirklich fesselnd zu schreiben. Wer also etwas sucht um sich zu entspannen und mal von der Realität los zukommen, ist hier genau richtig!
