The book is designed to aware community on preparedness and mitigation of earthquake. Generally earthquake caused two types of damages such as structural and non structural. Structural damage includes building collapse, regional subsidence, uplift of the land, landslide, fires and tsunamis. Whereas non structural includes the damage and casualties due to the movement of non-structural objects such as computer and television during the earthquake. Therefore, it's an effort to aware society from different phases of earthquakes such as pre-disaster, during disaster and post disaster.
