    Lieblingsbuchpotenzial

    Das Buch hat eine so schöne Atmosphäre. Es war das erste Buch, wo ich mich davor gedrückt habe, es zuende zu lesen, weil ich nicht wollte, dass es aufhört. Absolute Empfehlung an jeden!

    beautiful writing, disappointing story

    Although the writing was absolutely beautiful, the story didn’t quite convince me. I enjoyed the circus theme but the plot was not as interesting as I thought it would be. I had high expectations and “The Night Circus” sadly didn’t meet them.

    as if you were there

    For me the book feels like a visit to the circus. The chapters jump in time, in narrative voice and also in length. but together they form a grande picture of the circus and its people. When I closed the book after the last page I felt like I had been there, between visitors and I had seen the different tents and attractions. beautiful written and perfectly told. with a bittersweet end, that invites you to keep dreaming.

    Unvorhersehbar

    Ich brauchte ein Buch bei dem ich abschalten kann und mich ebenso auch fallen lassen kann. The Night Circus ist super dafür geeignet. Und am schönsten fand ich, dass man die ganze Zeit im Dunkeln tappte bis sich am Schluss alles wie bei einem Puzzle zusammenfügte.

    Could have been better.

    When I started reading it, I was really excited, but soon my joy disappeared. The story is complicated, it's been months since i've read it and I still don't know what 'the game' is. The tale in general is fascinating, but I wish it would have been better explained. I had to look up a summary of the book to somehow understand it.
