Nun gibt es endlich neuen Lesestoff aus der Welt von Rose Hathaway :) Sie selber kommt zwar nur ganz kurz vor, das tut dem Lesevergnügen jedoch keinen Abbruch. Im Spin-Off der beliebten "Vampire Academy" Serie dreht sich nun alles um die Alchimistin Sydney und deren Auftrag als Beschützerin von Jill Mastrano, der Halbschwester von Vasilisa :) Die Geschichte ist wie bei den anderen Büchern von Richelle Mead spannend und unterhaltsam und durch einige schon bekannte Figuren wie Adrian Ivashkov oder Eddie Castile fühlt man sich sofort wieder heimisch :) Es werden aber auch viele neue interessante Charaktere eingeführt und man bekommt einen Einblick in die Welt der Alchimisten :) Was mich ein bisschen genervt hat, war die sehr starke Abneigung von Sydney gegen Magie und alles Übernatürliche, aber das ist Geschmackssache und sagt ja nur etwas über ihren Charakter und nicht über das Buch aus. Alles in allem eine sehr gelungene "Fortsetzung" und ich freue mich schon auf den nächsten Band "The Golden Lily" :D
