Crown of Madness
Chambers' writing is quite riveting. The "King in Yellow" (existing as a book within this novel) is shrouded in mystery - though the first short story offers a sort of glimpse into the story of the book, the reader is left in the dark about its actual contents. What follows is an anthological collection of stories revolving around the poor souls who's minds have been touched or corrupted by "The King in Yellow". It's like walking through a mirror cabinet, you as the reader feel the decent into madness as well. Can highly recommend this quick but impactful read!
