The book has two points of view. One is from Finn, an inmate of Incarceron who wants to find the Outside and the other is from Claudia, a girl that lives in the Outside and that wants to know more about Incarceron.
The book is really thrilling and has a few unexpected turning points. I found it sometimes hard to switch always between the two points of view, but overall I really liked the book. Because of a few brutal scenes and the permanent switch between Claudia and Finn, I would recommend the book for thirteen year olds or older.
