Six Songs: Selected From The Amphion Anglicus (1890) is a book of sheet music featuring six songs composed by Thomas Augustine Arne, a famous English composer of the 18th century. The songs included in this book are ""When Daisies Pied"", ""Under the Greenwood Tree"", ""Where the Bee Sucks"", ""Blow, Blow, Thou Winter Wind"", ""Come, Shepherds, Deck Your Heads"" and ""Hark! Hark! The Lark"". These songs are taken from Arne's larger collection of vocal music, the Amphion Anglicus, which was published in the early 1700s. The songs are written for voice and piano, and the sheet music includes the lyrics and musical notation for each song. This book is a valuable resource for singers and musicians interested in English vocal music from the 18th century. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
