Anthems and Introits Used in Chichester Cathedral is a book compiled by Walter Farquhar Hook and published in 1866. The book contains a collection of anthems and introits that were used in Chichester Cathedral, a historic church located in the city of Chichester in West Sussex, England. The anthems and introits included in the book were written by various composers and spanned several centuries, from the 16th to the 19th century. They were performed during religious services and ceremonies in the cathedral, adding to the rich musical heritage of the church. The book provides a glimpse into the musical traditions of Chichester Cathedral and serves as a valuable resource for scholars and enthusiasts of sacred music. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
